Grow and Make: spirited botanicals

Bring new life to your beverages with fresh ingredients you can grow at home! Join San Francisco gardeners Carey Craddock and Jordan Kushins for this spirited introduction to botanicals, including: how to preserve a variety of flowers and herbs in simple syrups, vinegar shrubs, salts, and infusions; and how to use garden garnishes to make your cocktails, low-ABV, and non-alcoholic refreshers taste amazing (and look fantastic!).

Everyone will leave this hands-on session with their own custom botanical creations, and inspiration to experiment making delicious drinks.

About the Grow + Make Series

This is part one of a four-part Grow + Make series led by Carey and Jordan this year. They are standalone sessions, but each will build on the last for repeat attendees. Stay tuned for upcoming classes:

8/15/26: Grow + Make: Everything is Jewelry — Forage and design plant stuff (leaves and flowers, pods and wood) into uniquely ephemeral accessories.

12/5/26: Grow + Make: Botanical Print Cards and Presses — Learn to print holiday cards with fresh leaves and flowers, and put together a portable plant press to keep or gift!
